We're Sad To Be Saying Goodbye
Tim
It's the end of an era for three of our services this month as we say goodbye to colleagues in Norfolk, Somerset and Devon. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the opportunity to bid for these contracts again, commissioners have changed their strategy and will no longer be funding these services. This is despite excellent performance and outcomes, everyone that has worked in these three locations should be really proud of what has been achieved.
Really chuffed that we’ll be retaining some of the team members in other TT roles. For those leaving us at the end of March…I just wanted to say a massive thank you for your commitment, hard work and spirit. We’re saying goodbye to some big personalities who we’ll miss hugely...I wish you all the luck in the world for your future career and who knows, maybe we’ll see some of you back at some point if the right opportunity arises. Tim x
Leading the Thriving Workplaces team, Mike also wanted to say a few words: As the Thriving Workplaces offer comes to an end, we feel very proud to have achieved so much in the last 8 years. We have worked with 240 businesses and organisations who have invested their time to support the health and wellbeing of their staff. We have trained over 1203 staff in Mental Health First Aid, 1089 staff over our various workshops, and 100 have accessed our own Thriving Workplaces Health Champion training, and 120 on our RSPH training.
Thank you for engaging with us over the last 8 years by attending the training and spreading what you have learnt.
Best wishes from all in the Thriving Workplaces Team.
Keep Thriving!"
Having overseen these wonderful services from an operational viewpoint, Andy wanted to add a few thoughts too. I'm truly saddened by the impending end of the Somerset, Devon and Norfolk contracts as they draw to a close.
Somerset is unique, its Thrive Tribe's only contract that has been secured through novation. We literally picked up the contract from 'To Health', a company who ran into some financial problems, so we worked with them and commissioners to transfer the service and team to Thrive Tribe. A huge thank you to Eliza, Debra and all past members for embracing our values and running an excellent NHS Health Check programme that delivers 8 - 10,000 Health Checks annually for the people of Somerset.
Devon was only procured as a 2-year pilot, at times working within Devon's Primary Care system has been tricky, however we have shown great flexibility to overcome stark challenges to serve people living with serious mental illnesses. A huge thank you to Fergal, Helen, Claire and all departed colleagues who've provided a much needed boost to Devon's performance of Physical Health Checks for the SMI cohort. We've learned so much about the challenges of targeting this priority group, and in the meantime we've helped Devon ICB recover the levels of checks required by NHSE.
Norfolk has been a joy on a number of levels, firstly Thriving Workplaces has consistently smashed contractual requirements. it never ceases to amaze me that the KPI RAG sheet, discussed at commissioner reviews is always a sea of green.
Secondly, the Thriving Workplace team past and present, has had a profound effect on Thrive Tribe as a whole, the team have positively contributed to our culture, values and skills across the organisation in various ways. A huge thank you to Mike, Shannon, Cat, Sam and all past team members, both those that are still with Thrive Tribe and those who are not.
Whilst we lose these programmes from April onwards, we'll never forget, you will always remain in our thoughts and hearts.
Here are just some of the amazing memories from these services that will live on, and remain close to our hearts forever!
Thank you for everything, we really will miss you!
