Monthly Learning and Development Update

What have we been working on this month?
It has a busy month for learning and development (L&D), as we launched our new strategy on the 19th June, you can catch up with the post on the link below. A key goal of this strategy is to work closely with you to better understand the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in your role. We’ve kicked things off by focusing on three pathways—health coaches, adult weight management practitioners, and diabetes prevention practitioners. I’ve reached out directly to gather your insights through targeted surveys, and a post also went up on Totem inviting those interested in joining a working group to help shape and curate the learning pathway. If you missed it, you can catch-up on the link below.
Successes
I've received 15 responses to the surveys across all three pathways so far—thank you to everyone who’s contributed! Your feedback has been incredibly insightful and is helping to shape a clearer picture of the key topics and skills that matter most to you. The more responses we gather, the more tailored and relevant we can make the learning pathways to support your role. Keep them coming!
Next steps
Next steps include a second push to encourage more responses to the surveys and to invite additional expressions of interest for the working groups—there’s still time to get involved and help shape the learning pathway for your role. Your input is key to making this a truly relevant and practical resource. On a related note, we’re also excited to be launching our own internal behaviour change training. This new learning pathway is housed on Microsoft Sway and designed to be absorbed in bite-sized chunks, making it easier to access around busy schedules while aligning with our strategy of learning in the flow of work. This behaviour change pathway will be launched at the beginning of August, so stay tuned!
