Thrive Fest - Camping FAQ's
Trev
Head of People & Internal Communications
We hope that you are excited for our biggest event in September - Thrive Fest! π. Thank you to those of you who have already completed the registration form expressing your preferences on how you would like to experience Thrive Fest this year. For those that haven't yet completed it, the form is still open until Close of play on June 23rd, so you can still get your registrations completed π.
There have been a few people get in touch asking some questions regarding the camping element of this year's festival-themed ThriveFest event, so we thought it would be useful to share some of the answers here, in case you were unsure. So here goes:
β
Are tents provided?
Tents are not provided, so you will need to supply and bring your own. This does mean though, that you are able to choose if you wish to sleep on your own, or with other team members in the tent too. A late night catch up with work besties in the tent anyone? Choose wisely though!Β No refunds will be given due to loss of sleep caused by sharing a tent with a "snorer" π.
β
β
β
Are airbeds or mattresses provided?
No sleeping equipment will be provided, so you'll need to provide your own sleeping bags, cushions, mattresses, airbeds etc. Again, this allows you to make your tent a complete home from home though, so bring with you whatever you need to make your night away on the beautiful South Lawn of Delapre Abbey as comfortable as possible.
β
β
β
What access to showers and toilets will there be?
There will be toilets on site that will be accessible for the whole night. There aren't any showers that will be accessible on site at Delapre Abbey, but if you speak nicely to somebody who has one of the rooms at The University of Northampton they will be able to let you use there's on the Friday morning should you really need a shower. Remember, sharing's caring π.
β
β
β
Will there be any security on site?
Absolutely!Β There will be a security guard on site for the whole night, to ensure every camper's safety. Personal belongings will be left in your tents at your own risk, but this is no different to leaving your car in the supermarket car park. There will be some lighting available at site helping illuminating the event, but these won't be too bright, so you'll still be able to get some shut eye π.
β
β
β
Do I need to bring a 50p coin for the electricity meter?
No need to bring any coins to "top up the meter" as there is no electricity available to the tents. This will mean that if you need to charge phones etc, you should bring with you a power bank or similar so you can keep "The Gram" (Life at Thrive Tribe - of course) fully updated.
