September L&D Updates

Amanda
Quality and Training Manager
What have we been working on this month?
Welcome to the September L&D updates. This month has been about continuing with existing pieces of work to get them launch ready. As mentioned last month I am working on a universal induction brochure. This was presented to the People and Product teams who were able to provide some great feedback. From this meeting, it was clear we will require further versions including, a leaders induction brochure and a mobilisation induction brochure. To kick start the work for the leader’s induction brochure, a communication was sent to all leaders / managers asking who would like to be involved in a focus group to help understand and shape what our leaders need in the first few weeks to support them in their role. I’m pleased to say there has been a good response, and I will be reaching out to those that wish to be involved next week. I will be sending out a meeting invitation to all leaders for the start of October to introduce you to the universal induction brochure, that you will be using for all new hires. .
Level 2 Behaviour Change
The level 2 behaviour change pathway is coming along nicely. My aim is for this to be ready for testing in the first week of October (I have a pool of behaviour change guru’s who are helping 😊) and then ready to share with the rest of TT shortly after.
A reminder of training launched this year and something new
Earlier this year we launched our own level 1 behaviour change training and two pieces of mandatory training (lone working and DSE). All of these can be found on Totem > People Portal > Training. Please remember that even if you are based working from home, lone working still applies to you, as there will undoubtedly be times when you are working from home alone. On another note, we are now offering ABCD (asset based, community development) & Co-Production training. ABCD is an approach to sustainable community-driven development. Assets in the community use their strengths and collaborate on elements of service such as design, delivery, and governance approaches, to improve them; this is co-production. The training is 2hrs, delivered over Teams by Ben Middleton on the 11th November 2pm – 4pm. For anyone that is interested and didn’t complete as part of their mobilisation, please visit the “What’s On” calendar in Totem.
How can you help?
I still have some open surveys to help us shape what a learning pathway looks like for each of our roles at TT. The roles I am focusing on to start with are health coaches and adult weight management practitioners. If you haven’t yet completed one, please use the links below:
