Wear Your Poppy With Pride

For all of our loved ones currently serving at home or abroad, let's hope they stay safe. For everyone across the globe caught up in war, we send our love and hope peace comes to them very soon. Many of us here at Thrive Tribe have family and friends who will be in our thoughts at this time, and I for one wear my poppy with pride.
Many of us know the Flanders Field poem, but here is the story behind how John McCrae created one of the most famous poems of the modern age.
In Flanders' fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders' fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high,
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders' Fields.
