As part of our usual policy update process, reflecting any changes in legislation etc, we've been updating some of our policies. A quick summary of these changes over the last few months are;

• New Statutory rates for Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave – the weekly statutory rate for these leave types has increased from £172.48 to £184.03 per week.

• Changes to Paternity Leave – Paternity Leave can now be taken in one go, or split into two blocks of one week at any point within the first year after childbirth.

• Changes to Flexible Working – the right to make a Flexible Working request is now a day 1 right for all of our people (previous requirement of 26 weeks service before a formal request could be made). You can now make 2 requests in any 12 month period, and no longer have to consider the impact of the request on the business and provide potential solutions.

All affected policies have been updated and replaced on Bob (under ‘Company Docs’> ‘Policies’).
