We’re very excited to announce the full details of this year’s challenge weekend – The Pembrokeshire Coastal Challenge!
There are 30 places on this challenge and they will be available on a first come first served basis. To make this as fair as possible, tickets will be released in 2 stages. 15 places will be released next Thursday 24th March at 8am. The remaining places will be released at 6pm on Monday 11th April. Booking will close on Monday 2nd May at 8pm. Booking can be made here!
We’re asking for a financial contribution of £35 per person to secure your place, of which £10 will go towards our charity partner –Tommy’s. Thrive Tribe will fund the rest, to cover accommodation, all meals and the activities.
In this year's challenge you'll spend 2nights at Preseli Eco Lodge, and the challenge will involve hiking, sea kayaking and coasteering the Pembrokeshire Coast in Wales. The timetable for the weekend will be as follows:
Friday 20th May
- Arrival at Preseli Eco Lodge from 5pm
- 7.30pm evening meal, followed by activity briefing at the lodge
Saturday 21st May
- 7am breakfast at the lodge
- 8am-12pm - Sea kayak approx 9km from Solvato Porthclais. This will mostly be in single kayaks, although there are a limited number of double kayaks.
- 12am-1pm - lunch
- 1pm-4.30pm - Coasteering 1km at Porthclais. Whilst 1km may not sound much, you should be prepared to be put through your paces. Coasteering is a mix of scrambling, swimming and jumping along the coast.
- 4.30pm-7pm - Hike 11km along the coastal path from Porthclais to Whitesands. This will involve uneven ground with plenty of ascents and descents.
- 7.30pm - Evening meal at the lodge
Sunday 22nd May
- 9am - Breakfast and check-out
We’ll be running a short webinar this Wednesday 23rd May 12:30pm - 1:00pm for anyone who wants to hear more, ask questions or just get excited about what should be a fantastic Challenge! Access the webinar via this link (passcode - 923007) or find the details on the calendar!
