Summary Of Our Mental Health Support

As Mental Health Awareness week draws to a close, we wanted to take some time to reflect on the importance of managing our mental wellbeing, both in and out of work. This year, the MHFA announced that this years theme would be ‘Anxiety’. Research has shown that anxiety levels across the UK have not yet dropped down to where they were pre-pandemic. Nearly three quarters of the population (73%) reported having felt anxious at least sometimes in the previous 2 weeks, with more than a third of participants feeling anxious about their financial situation during the cost of living crisis.
It is important to note that feelings of anxiety are a completely normal and natural human response to stress or perceived danger. It is part of our bodies natural fight or flight response, which is designed to keep us safe. It is important to recognise when we feel anxious, so that we can prevent it from becoming overwhelming. There are lots of things you can do to help manage anxiety, and what works for me may not work for you! It’s a case of trial and error.
MHFA has put together a list of top tips for managing your anxiety, so you can see what works for you. Click here to read these.
At Thrive Tribe, our employee wellbeing is of paramount importance! In order to reach our goal of supporting and empowering over one million people – we must first feel supported and empowered ourselves.
Here are some of the things Thrive Tribe have to offer to support you and your wellbeing:
Sanctus Life Coaching – You can also access online 1-to-1 life coaching sessions for any topic relating to work performance, mental health, relational health or physical health.
LifeWorks – our partnership with LifeWorks gives you access to a broad range of different programmes to support your mental wellbeing, each focused on a different topic. Check out the ‘CareNow Programmes’ tab in your LifeWorks account to view programmes such as anxiety, depression, substance misuse, separation/divorce and financial wellbeing (to name a few!).
MHFA – We also provide Mental Health First Aid training to all of our staff, to ensure that we know how to provide mental health first aid to one another, as well as offer a greater understanding of mental health overall. This brilliant course is really educational and informative, and may help some of us become aware of things within ourselves that we haven’t been able to put into words.
We hope that above all things, you feel a part of Thrive Tribe’s culture and know that your line managers are always here for when you need some extra support. Please use last weeks awareness week as an opportunity to reach out if needed.
