As some of you know, I’ve become slightly parkrun obsessed recently. As a wheelchair user, one thing I’ve found tricky, though, is figuring out how accessible a course really is before you actually get there. I asked parkrun if they could share this information so it is easy to find, but apparently they “can’t make a judgement on what accessibility means to everyone”
So… I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands!
My plan is to visit a different parkrun every Saturday and review its accessibility. Full video reviews will be on my YouTube channel at9am each Saturday. With written and shorter reviews on socials. I’m completely winging it and learning as I go, so hopefully the content will get better over time!
I’m not doing this to become famous (it’s a pretty niche topic after all), but if you’re interested, I’d love for you to follow along. And if you know anyone who might find this useful — or is just a fellow parkrun enthusiast — please feel free to share.
If I can help even one person feel confident enough to give parkrun a go, then that’s mission accomplished.
