Learning and Development Update Jan 26
Amanda
Quality and Training Manager

Happy new year and welcome to our January update. As we have had the Christmas holidays, this January update is going to be a bit lighter. Since starting back, we haven’t launched anything new but have been working on a few new pieces of training.
First piece of new training
The first piece of training that is near completion is on learning disabilities, learning difficulties and neurodiversity. As an organisation, more of our services are starting to focus on offering more specialist learning disability programmes. It has also been raised by both leaders (to enable them to support their teams more effectively) and by practitioners as an area they would like more information. The first draft has been completed, and the edits are underway.
Second piece of new training
The second piece of training we are working on is hypertension training for our long-term health conditions pathway. Some of you may remember a few years ago, the wonderful Pam delivered a training session on hypertension at our health checks conference. We are adapting this training onto a Sway document, so that it will be available to everyone with an interest in hypertension, not just those delivering the specialist pathway.
How can I get involved in training?
As me mentioned in a previous update, we have a range of topics to develop as a result of our discussions around the key skills and knowledge areas you require to be effective in your roles. If you are interested in getting involved in supporting the development of these topics, please complete the form below. Thank you to those that have already completed the form, I will be reaching out to you all shortly.
