Pride is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and to highlight the work still to be done. Origins of Pride month: In the morning of Saturday 28th June 1969, the LGBTQ+ community rioted following a police raid at the Stonewall Inn, a bar in Manhattan, New York City. These protests changed rights for the LGBTQ+ community all over the world. From this event comes the annual reminder to come together, educate and move forward with equality.
