Covid Safety Measures - Update!

Jackie
Head of Clinical Governance, Quality and Training
As from today, masks and Covid safety measures are no longer needed for our face to face services - this aligns with the latest guidance that’s been published from NHS England for health care providers. There are still a handful of areas within the NHS where masks etc will be needed, such as inpatients where people who are at high risk of immunosuppression/Covid wards, but most outpatient and community health services are now moving away from using masks and Covid safety measures and back to normal infection prevention and control practices. Please remember to still follow our usual infection prevention and control measures during your clinics, but you’ll no longer need to be completing enhanced risk assessments, lateral flow testing or wearing masks etc when seeing clients.
We will continue to work closely with our commissioners to stay alert for any local outbreaks of Covid, and let you know if we need to adopt any safety measures if this occurs.
We understand there may be staff or clients that prefer to still wear a mask, as everyone is transitioning back to pre-pandemic working environments. This is a personal choice and we will of course support both staff and clients if they wish to wear one.,
