ThriveFest Travel Planning

I don't know if you've heard, but THRIVEFEST is just over 5 weeks away 😍, and we can't wait to see so many of you there this year!
We'll be holding a webinar that focus on this year's Thrive Fest event specifically on August 24th at 10am - I'll be sending out a calendar invite so please confirm your attendance if possible. We'll then be holding a 30 min drop in session on 5th August for any last minute questions you may need answering - please find both of these on the Totem calendar too. These will answer all the questions you may have - allowing you to fully get into the festival vibe before we get underway on September 7th at The University of Northampton.
In order to allow you to plan your travel to and from this year's crown jewel event here are some of the timings for the event, which will allow you to start booking and coordinating you travel. Please remember to travel responsibly, limiting our environmental impact where possible. This may be in the form of:
- Taking Public Transport for some/all of your journey.
- Traveling with colleagues on a pre-booked coach or similar.
- Where driving, please car share as much as possible.
Details to help you book your travel.
September 7th (arrival day):
You'll need to arrange your travel to get you to The University of Northampton Waterside Campus for between 10.15-10.30am. When you arrive we'll check you in and then mingle with peers. Please store bags in the areas pointed out to you by Thrive Fest coordinators (big shout out to Local Comms Leads here!). You'll be issues with your room keys throughout the morning, but this will be further communicated at the webinars and on the day. If you're camping, you'll be given time to set up your tent later on in the day too.
If you're planning on driving yourself and others, and so need somewhere to park - we have booked Car Park 4 for overnight parking, so please head there and park up.
The morning session with Tim will start at 11am in The Learning Hub, so please ensure you are there and ready to learn and have a good old catch up with colleagues for this time. The day will proceed and take many twists and turns along the way (purposely being secretive so you attend the webinars 😜).
September 8th (departure day):
Breakfast will be served for all staying and who have requested a breakfast. Check out of rooms needs to be completed by 10.30am. Therefore we would suggest that you book/arrange travel departure times or collections for between 10 - 10.30am.
We hope this gives you some information to allow you to start sorting your methods of travel to this year's event but if you have any questions you would like answering, please don't hesitate to comment below, or email Trev and we'll make sure these are answered in the webinars, if not before.
