New Mental Health and Suicide First Aid Training
Amanda
Quality and Training Manager
We have been very mindful over the past year that MHFA England have paused their train the trainer course which has meant we have had reduced capacity to deliver mental health first aid training to everyone.
With this in mind TT's Dr Richard Pile and Kendelle Bond from the National Centre for Behaviour Change have created a Mental Health and Suicide First Aid training course for Thrive Tribe. This course goes hand in hand with another e-learning course offered by the Royal College of Nursing: Suicide Awareness Training. This e-learning course is going to be part of everyone's mandatory training and we would expect everyone that signs up for the MH and Suicide First Aid training to have completed this course prior to joining. You will find the link to this training in the Eventbrite ticket (when you register) and I will also be posting another news article on Totem with more information and the link to accessing it.
TT's MH and Suicide First Aid training is initially going to be running once every two months, with the first course being offered on the 14th February (you can find it in the What's on calendar now). More courses will be uploaded over the coming month. If you have yet to complete a MHFA course or it has been over three years since you last completed MHFA, then this course is for you.
