June Leaning and Development Updates
Amanda
Quality and Training Manager

What have we been working on this month?
The start of June saw our London office host our second in-person leadership development day for our leaders in the south. It was a great opportunity for our leaders to collaborate and share ideas and experiences. Throughout the two development days held so far, leaders have identified areas where additional training, support, and resources would help them both in their current roles at Thrive Tribe and in their longer-term career development. Leaders are currently identifying their key priorities, helping us tailor future training, support, and development opportunities to best meet their needs.
Over the past few weeks, we have been conducting a leadership survey to better understand how leadership is experienced across the organisation. The survey explores perceptions of leadership at all levels, from front-line leaders through to senior leadership.
It focuses on five key areas: role clarity, support and accessibility, coaching and development, feedback and performance, and team environment. We were delighted with the level of engagement, with more than 100 colleagues taking part. The results are currently being analysed, and we look forward to sharing the key findings and insights in next month’s update.
Why are surveys such as this important?
Staff feedback is invaluable in helping us understand how the organisation is performing. It enables us to identify both areas where we are excelling and areas where there may be opportunities for improvement. By reviewing the results, we can explore the underlying factors that are influencing these outcomes and gain a deeper understanding of what is working well and what may need to change.
As we begin to develop our leadership programme, the insights gathered through this survey will play an important role in shaping our key areas of focus and development priorities. Collecting baseline data is also essential because it allows us to measure progress over time. By repeating the survey after implementing development initiatives, we can assess their effectiveness and understand the impact they have had on the organisation and our people.
How can you help?
Last month I reached out asking for people that would be interested in reviewing training content. Thank you to everyone that responded, we have a nice sized group with a range of knowledge and expertise. The first piece of training content reviewed was a piece on bereavement, which will be launched very soon. Anyone that is interested in writing training content or reviewing content, please do reach out to me at [email protected]
