Dr. Richard Pile's Tedx Talk
Jackie
Head of Clinical Governance, Quality and Training
Dr Richard Pile, our Medical Director, has done a TEDx talk: "Why Loneliness may be more dangerous than cancer". It was recorded live at TEDx St Albans in October and will be released online soon. In it, Richard talks about the risk to our health that loneliness poses, who it affects, how we can look for it and and address it, and the important role that social prescribing has to play. This message is very much in keeping with how we try to help people to change their lives at Thrive Tribe.
That's why we're letting you know in advance about the TEDx talk so you can be ready to take a listen, if you would like to. The more people that click on it, watch it, like and share it, the more reach it will have on YouTube and social media channels such as X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Please feel free to share this message within your professional and personal networks to those that you think may be interested, to prepare as many people as possible for when the video is released. We will let you know when this has happens by hosting the full video on Totem, so you can start to watch and share as you would like.
The ultimate purpose of the TEDx talk is to raise awareness about loneliness and to help people either to seek support themselves or to be able to support others and to promote the use of social prescribing, which has significant benefits for both individuals and for our health and social care systems.
